The Classic Plywood Lounge Chair & Ottoman is widely considered one of the most significant designs of the 20th century. It was designed to create a club chair using the molded plywood technology that was pioneered in the '40s. The vision was a chair with the "warm, receptive look of a well-used first baseman's mitt." The result has become the consummate lounge set, timelessly blending old-fashioned comfort and visionary modernism. Pairing soft, inviting leather with the sleek form of molded plywood, the seat is balanced on a five-star, die-cast steel base.

I am extremely happy with my purchase from Modterior. The price is the lowest I've seen anywhere and to top it off, the quality is top notch. I was a bit skeptical at the beginning because of the low price, but when I received the chair and ottoman I am so gladly I ordered it from them and saved myself hundreds if not thousands of dollars

Advantages: Very fast shipping and great customer service! 5 Stars!

This Eames chair is the epitome of a great deal, the craftsmanship is stellar, the colors of the wood and the leather pair up very well. The price was right, too. This is the kind of quality that only higher end shops carry. This was the fourth item I've purchased at modterior, and every item has been well worth it.

Advantages: Good leather, good sewing, the finish on the wood is very well done. Overall, very solid and stable stance. Colors are very good.


Disadvantages: Still an expensive chair, but well worth the price for a really nice piece of furniture.
